I am a Surrey based artist living on the North Downs. My work explores the changing natural environment, particularly its ephemeral, fragile and fugitive nature. My intention is to capture a lightness of touch to reflect this transience in nature and awareness of the delicate ecological balance created by man’s presence.
The techniques I employ involve ceramics, glass, printmaking and photography. Outcomes using these processes and materials are completely unpredictable. It is this collaboration with materials, the element of risk and the (often unexpected) final reveal which inspire me.
